Ex Rangers defender Alan Hutton is on the verge of a move to the sun with Real Mallorca.
Subject to a medical, Scotland international Hutton will move to the La Liga side before the transfer window shuts. Hutton has been a flop in the Premiership since his £9 million move to Tottenham Hotspur. He failed to establish himself at Spurs and moved to pastures new at Aston Villa.
It has not worked out well for him at Villa Park either and he has been rotting in the reserves. The move to Mallorca will hopefully be the fresh start he needs. And maybe the sunnier climate will do him some good.
