Another big game awaits this week as Rangers head to Pittodrie to take on Aberdeen in a top of the table clash.

The Gers have been excellent this season at times and in some big games we really have delivered – though not in al.

Hopefully, though, we’ll produce the goods this week against the Dons in a huge game with the players certainly improving from last year.

Indeed, that hasn’t been lost on Lee McCulloch who has said that Steven Gerrard has turned things around from when some were having a pop about the mentality of the squad.

He said via the Scottish Sun:

“When he came in, fans, media, thought the players didn’t have the mentality to play for Rangers.

“But this season I think some of them have looked like new players at times.

“Look at the emergence of Andy Halliday, where he’s come from. Out on loan, but as soon as Steven came in he identified him as a player who could offer a lot.”

Halliday is a great example of that because he has seriously changed minds about him.

Few felt he was really good enough but this year he’s become a real hero, and hopefully that can continue in the coming weeks and months.

Certainly, there is plenty good that Steven has done.
