Just to tidy up this section of the site, a look at our opponents from this season’s UEFA Champions League, Turkish side Bursaspor.

This was their first UEFA Champions League campaign and was a bit of a learning curve for them really. They became the whipping boys of the group although Rangers didn’t find them any walkovers.

The first game was a tight affair with only one goal to seperate the sides. The goal coming in the first half and scored by Steven Naismith.

The second game was another close one which ended in a 1-1 draw, the Turks’ first ever Champions League point in their last game of the campaign.

Kenny Miller opened the scoring for Rangers but Bursaspor got an equaliser in the second half and in actual fact were quite unlucky not to go on and win the game.
