Many Rangers fans did not enjoy the performance of midfielder Ovie Ejaria at Ibrox this evening, despite the team progressing through to the next round of UEFA Europa League qualifying.
Steven Gerrard’s side drew 1-1 on the night, with Nikola Katic and Borna Barisic scoring, enough to go through on the back of their narrow 1-0 aggregate lead from the first leg in Croatia.
All things considered, it’s a great result and ensures Rangers’ European adventure will continue this summer.
The midfield was busy throughout but Alfredo Morelos looked a bit isolated up front on his own, with his teammates struggling to support him consistently in the final third.
One player that drew criticism in the middle of the park was summer arrival Ovie Ejaria, who was largely wasteful with possession throughout the 90 minutes.
Many fans feel he is trying to hard, not playing simply enough or making bad decisions when it counts.
These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
All Ejaria had to do there was roll Arfield in. Terrible pass to Morelos. That’s the pass we must get right. Need the right type of player.

I'd bring Ejaria off at half time and replace him with either Arfield or Windass. Arfield for more know how and cutting edge or Windass to stretch him with his pace.

Ejaria thinks he is playing Fifa #Rangers

I know it's early doors, but I'm not convinced by Ejaria. He gives the ball away far too often. He's been the weak link tonight.
