With Rangers already announcing that we have secured the future services of Glen Kamara on a pre-contract deal that will see him make the switch from Dundee next summer, their gaffer Jim McIntyre has indicated that the player would rather move in January and talks are ongoing between both clubs to see if they can make that happen.

The 23-year-old Finnish midfielder has made 23 appearances for his current club so far in the campaign of 2018/19 and he has already put pen to paper on a four year deal at Ibrox.

Speaking to Sky Sports earlier today, McIntyre said that discussions were ongoing over a potential more speedy move for the player as it was probably in the best interests of all parties.

“I think when a player signs a pre-contract nine times out of 10 he would rather move on. Everybody is aware of that. Discussions are ongoing, we will see where it leads.”

Should the deal be agreed between both clubs, you would imagine it would only be for a nominal fee at best really and Kamara would then become our third capture of the current window. With Kilmarnock attacker Jordan Jones also agreeing a pre-contract with Rangers, it still remains unlikely that a January deal could be struck with them to see him arrive earlier though.
