Rangers saw a number of players leave the club yesterday on transfer Deadline Day as Steven Gerrard finalised his squad for the rest of the season – or until January at least.
The headline act, of course, was Ryan Kent returning to the club and the Gers certainly took their time about revealing that news.
In the time before hand on the day, they largely worked through announcing a number of players had left the club either on loan or by mutual termination, with Graham Dorrans falling into the latter category.
A player with undeniable talent, it never really worked for him here given the amount of injuries he had and after seeing the signings that arrived this summer, the writing appeared to be on the wall.
He has left, then, and there has been plenty said on Twitter about his exit since.
Let’s take a look at some of what was said now:
#RangersFC can today confirm the mutual termination of midfielder Graham Dorrans’ contract.
He departs with the best wishes of everyone at Rangers.

Fully agree in wishing him all the best …. maybe Lee Wallace deserves the same level of respect from the club , absolutely shameful

All the best to Graham, gutted it didn’t work out for him.

Shame it didn’t work out, would have been a good player for us if injury free. All the best for the future ????????

Disappointed. I was extremely pleased when Dorrans joined but ultimately his injuries prevented him showing what he was capable of. He goes with my best wishes and luck for his future endeavors ????⚪????

I was excited with the signing of Dorrans but unfortunately those who questioned his fitness were right. A cracking player on his day, an honest pro and true Rangers man. I wish him well and hope that he can sign for another club and play the game we all love. All the best Dozza.

Easily had the ability to play in Gerrard’s team, but for an unpunished, late, tackle from behind he might’ve had a chance

Good luck
