Rangers have won convincingly in the Scottish Premiership for the second game in succession after destroying Motherwell 3-0 at Fir Park today.
Steven Gerrard’s side really have bounced back from last week’s derby defeat superbly, following up Wednesday night’s big victory over Hearts at Ibrox with the same scoreline on the road against the Steelmen.
Scott Arfield was the undoubted star of the show, displaying a clinical attacking edge to score three goals from three chances, delighting supporters in the ground and watching on via television.
Deployed in a more attacking role on the left flank in support of Jermain Defoe, the Canadian international formed quite the partnership with the veteran striker, perhaps pointing to a worthwhile new tactic in the tail-end of the season without Alfredo Morelos.
Arfield now has 11 goals for the season, which combined with his seven assists isn’t a bad contribution in his debut season at Ibrox at all. Supporters will be expecting even more next term, especially if he continues to play in this kind of position.
These fans were delighted with his Sunday display, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
Scott Arfield's finishing has been outstanding today and he deserves all the plaudits coming his way.
Likewise, Defoe has been fantastic and the unselfishness he showed for the third, after some great play, and his subsequent delight for Arfield was a joy to watch.

Don’t play Morelos for the rest of the season and play Arfield just in behind Defoe!
