Defender has positive message as he looks to play for Rangers next season

|

Rangers are arguably in need of a couple more defensive options for this season coming but one defender has his eyes on making an impression before they come in.

Last year, Nikola Katic was signed and as a young defender a lot was expected of him but he perhaps didn’t live up to that and often found himself in and out of the side.

However, he has got a year of football in this country under his belt and he has also been playing for Croatia at the U21 championships in Europe which he thinks has brought him on as a player.

Indeed, he has a positive message for us as fans as he looks to feature for us next season.

He said via the Herald:

“I think I have improved a lot as a player in the last year, especially in Scotland playing against good strikers and with my team-mates. Then I went to the Championships and played against really top players so I think that was maybe not just one but two steps up for me. I learned a lot as a player.”

He’s ready to get back at it at Ibrox in the coming weeks, then, with the competitive season starting next month.

Hopefully, he can show what he has learned, too, because he could still be a very handy player.
