It wasn’t that long ago that it looked as though Glenn Middleton’s move to Doncaster Rovers had been called off, but it appears as though it is back on the cards again.

Indeed, the Scottish Sun had suggested a few days ago that the player would now not be joining Rovers with Grant McCann leaving the club as manager to go and join Hull City.

However, the managerial development that has seen Darren Moore arrive at the Keepmoat Stadium has apparently paved the way for the young Gers man to head to South Yorkshire after all.

According to the Daily Record, then, the player will head to Doncaster this summer for a loan deal and will spend the season playing in League One in England.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen the player stay put for the season but let’s just hope that this move benefits him and he really shows what he can do next year.
