With three fringe players already out the door on loan during this window, there is another expected exit at Ibrox with speculation building online.
The future of Greg Stewart is very much up for grabs, with the player having no real prospect of game time this season.
His contract is due to expire at the end of this season so any move now would effectively end his Rangers career.
Could he follow Glenn Middleton, Jordan Jones and George Edmundson on the loan trail?
It’s been such a tough window to recruit. January is difficult at the best of times, but with a new manager and various Covid restrictions, it’s been extremely challenging. That said, we’re still hoping to add one or two before midnight tonight. #DeadlineDay pic.twitter.com/CBINQb9vyT

So, that is mentions for Motherwell, Ross County and Hearts in relation to Greg Stewart, all with a realistic chance and valid claim.
What about Aberdeen? Could there be some last minute drama involving Scott Wright to allow him to move to Glasgow now and Stewart to return to Pittodrie.
At this stage, a move outside Scotland appears unlikely for the 30-year old.
Rangers could yet hold on to the player as a reserve option, as well as for the purposes of the homegrown quota for the Europa League squad.
VitalRangers believes there is a couple of announcements still to come from the Rangers Training Centre, later today.
