Jon Daly has said that Rangers can’t mope about following the very disappointing defeat to Raith Rovers in the Ramsdens Cup Final and the players simply have to channel that pain and make sure we make up for it when we face Dundee United in the semi final of the Scottish Cup.

Speaking to the Official Site following the one nil defeat in extra time, 31 year old Daly admitted that it wasn’t the score many expected and it certainly wasn’t the score that anybody wanted, but they can’t feel down as a squad because we still have the other Cup to play for to build on our league season.

‘It’s obviously bitterly disappointing. All the boys are gutted and it’s frustrating to stand there watching Raith lift the cup. It’s a hard thing to take and we’re all really gutted. We had great support and we’ve let both the fans and ourselves today.’

Daly says that we more than had the chances in the game to turn the match in our favour but we just didn’t make the most of them as they came along, so all they can do now is try and use that disappointment to help them bounce back at the first time of asking in the game against Dundee United.

‘We will use this and try and get a win in the semi final of the Scottish Cup. It’s up to us to bounce back from what happened and we can’t afford to dwell on the defeat. It will take a few days to get over losing but we have to react the right way and try to use the pain against Dundee United.’
