Creative central midfielder wants to sign for Rangers this summer

|

Liverpool prospect Curtis Jones is keen on making the switch to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers this summer, as reported by website Football Insider.

The Gers were said last month to be keen on a move for the midfielder and it appears the feeling is mutual according to this latest report.

The outlet say that an Ibrox source has informed them Jones is interested in following in the footsteps of teammates Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent next season.

18-year-old Jones is described by Liverpool as ‘a versatile and talented midfield player with an eye for a pass and a keen eye for goal’, potentially able to boost our attacking, creative chops in the middle of the park next term.

It’s an area of the pitch we need reinforcements in and will likely be a big priority for Gerrard this summer.

He’s scored seven goals and assisted three times in 19 Liverpool second string appearances this season.

That progress in the Reds’ youth sides has been impressive enough for Jurgen Klopp to hand him a senior competitive debut this year, appearing in the FA Cup in January.

The Ryan Kent loan move worked out perfectly for all parties – can Jones deliver the same kind of impact?
