Rangers fans hate the idea of selling midfielder Scott Arfield to Southampton this summer after reports emerged from The Daily Mail that he was a £3m target for the English Premier League side.
Arfield has played 42 times for the club since arriving as one of Steven Gerrard’s first signings in 2018, emerging as a key player in the manager’s starting eleven.
With 11 goals and seven assists for the season, he’s been a vital attacking talent and in a new role on the left flank against Motherwell at the weekend stunned supporters with a classy hat-trick.
His experience and versatility will be a key weapon during next season’s push for major honours under Gerrard and in no circumstance should we consider selling him, unless a superior replacement is on the way.
The lure of the English Premier League is strong, but surely Arfield wants to be part of the Gerrard project in Glasgow?
Supporters do not want to see him leave and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the speculation today…
Would have to be a crazy offer for us to let him go.

He is going no where. Thankfully he is not a kid with dreams of the EPL he has done that.

No chance
They do not have enough money and nothing in his body language suggests he wants to leave. Great player for us.— Blind Panic (@Blindpanic70) April 10, 2019

I’m interested in Natalie Portman. Doesn’t mean anything’s gonna happen though!
