Many Rangers fans aren’t happy that Celtic midfielder Scott Brown’s disciplinary hearing has been moved forward, meaning he could potentially play against Steven Gerrard’s side in next month’s Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
As reported by The Daily Record, his hearing has been moved to April 26th from May 2nd, meaning he would have to get a three match ban to miss out on the derby date, rather than a two match one.
The Scottish FA have made the move at Celtic’s request too, with the Hoops clearly feeling it’s a benefit to them ahead of potential action against the midfielder.
Brown has been cited for “failing to act in the best interests of Scottish football” after celebrating in front of and gesturing towards Rangers fans at Celtic Park recently.
Will the Hoops captain escape punishment or be reprimanded for his actions? The former certainly wouldn’t be a surprise.

Why? Rather than the obvious answer, are clubs now allowed to call the shots?

I don't rate Scott Brown as a footballer but hes a leader for them, the fact the SFA have agreed to this request is fucking mental. Gerrard must be realising what we are up against here. Only way to get back at them is to beat them. https://t.co/ByuGo3FbmF
