The Rangers line-up to face PSV in Eindhoven in the Champions League Playoff decider has been named with Gio van Bronckhorst making two changes from the draw at Hibs.

It is effectively Glen Kamara for Steven Davis from the starting 11 last week at Ibrox, whilst Ryan Jack and Rabbi Matondo lose their place from the weekend, with Malik Tillman coming in alongside Kamara.

PSV name the same team that started in Glasgow.

It appears to be a regular shape for the Gers, following on from a fairly even first leg.

There is an element of consistency in place but the expectation is that Rangers will need to produce an excellent performance to overcome the hosts tonight.

The likes of Dortmund, Leipzig and Red Star away last season saw generally high standards and that will need to be replicated, only this time a win is essential.

Options

On the bench there is plenty of midfield experience in the form of Steven Davis, Scott Arfield and Ryan Jack but the numbers are very limited in defence and attack, with the obvious omission of Alfredo Morelos having a significant impact.

Gio will be aiming for a close to flawless performance from his men, with little to do in the way of personnel changes. If required, he will likely call on the usual suspects but on a night that will be about who displays the most quality, Rangers don’t have much in reserve, particularly if goals are required.

It is up to the players to make it happen, to make themselves heroes and return Champions League football to Ibrox.

Kick-off at the Philips Stadium is at 8pm with the game televised live in the UK on BT Sports.
