Rangers face Hibs tonight in another crucial Scottish Premiership encounter at Ibrox and the starting line-up has been confirmed. Giovanni van Bronckhorst makes just one change to the side, following the comprehensive dismantling of Hearts at the weekend.

We need more of the same, to replicate the intensity and application that was evident on Sunday and the team tasked with that responsibility is as follows:

Allan McGregor – James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, Calvin Bassey – Glen Kamara, John Lundstram , Joe Aribo – Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos.

On the bench is  Jon McLaughlin – Borna Barisic, Mateusz Zukowski – Steven Davis, Aaron Ramsey, James Sands, Amad Diallo – Kemar Roofe, Fashion Sakala.

The instruction and expectation from the manager is clear – same again!

Whilst Hibs will present a new challenge and a different opposition compared to Sunday, if Rangers do about their business in a similar way then a capital double will be obtained with some to spare.

Going forward, the role of Arfield allowed the skipper Tavernier to have more of an impact offensively on Sunday, to the benefit of the champions. Rangers also were a much greater threat thanks to the sharpness and explosive form of Ryan Kent – we need this to be the start of a solid run of games from the Salford-born player. On his day, he is untouchable and his three assists at the weekend evidenced that quality.

Hibs aren’t is good form of their own but will likely raise their game for this visit to Glasgow however confidence will be high in the home dressing room and it is all about what they do.

The bench is strong and tonight should allow another chance to get game time into the legs of several players.

Kick-off at Ibrox is at 7.45pm – c’mon the Rangers!
