It has been confirmed that all SPFL games scheduled for Saturday, will be brought forward to kick-off at 12pm.

There is still no update on the high profile Scottish Cup clash between Rangers and Celtic, originally set for 4pm on the same day.

Due to the funeral of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh there has been a knock-on effect to the scheduling of games up and down the country this coming weekend.

No Premiership games are set to be played this coming week, but nine fixtures from the Championship to League 2 will go ahead at the revised time.

Earlier today, VitalRangers covered the press reports that the Old Firm clash was heading for a Sunday noon start, but at the time of writing there is still no official confirmation on the outcome of the talks between the authorities, broadcasters and the clubs on the new slot for the fourth round tie.

With a full round of Premiership games coming on Wednesday 21st April, Monday evening will not be in consideration.

A Saturday evening clash would be great but there could be police opposition to that, as well as the clash with Chelsea v Man City in the FA Cup, live on BBC – 5.30pm kick-off.

Anything but Sunday lunchtime…Friday night anyone?
