Rangers will be looking to add to their squad as much as possible this summer and the links are already doing the rounds.
Steven Gerrard has good connections to many in the game, too, and so it seems likely that we are going to have a number of players linked with us this summer.
Three players that might now not be arriving, though, are Eamonn Brophy, Steven Naismith and Stewart Downing.
Indeed, Four Lads Had a Dream on Twitter has reported that the club is saying that they’re not interested in any of them:
Rangers are saying links to Downing, Brophy & Naismith are rubbish fwiw

Talks ongoing with Oldham is only thing that is true in media today & no agreement yet
Take from that what you want folks, but should save everyone asking me as I have no info on it ????????

Certainly, I’d be fairly content if none of these players arrived and some others did instead.
Downing is getting on, Naismith isn’t that inspiring and Brophy probably wouldn’t be that outstanding either.
I’m sure we’ll see more speculation around these names and others, too, but this is at least one fairly reasonable source that has provided an update.
