Rangers fans aren’t happy with goalkeeper Allan McGregor after his pointless sending off against Hibs on Sunday.

The veteran shot-stopper received a straight red card for needlessly kicking out at opponent Marc McNulty in the final stages of yesterday’s 1-0 win.

His actions mean he should be suspended for the upcoming Old Firm derby at Ibrox, unless the club decide to chance their arm with a cheeky appeal.

It’s just the latest incident of ill-discipline in the Rangers squad this season with manager Steven Gerrard failing to get to the root cause of our massive amount of red and yellow cards in 2018/19.

It’s something he needs to figure out ahead of the new campaign. If we keep continually being let down by our most important players then our trophy chances are at a big and immediate disadvantage.

Supporters were not impressed at all with McGregor, taking to Twitter to make their feelings clear…

Should Allan McGregor be disciplined by Steven Gerrard for his needless sending off against Hibs? Have your say in the comments below…

  • Drop the idiot and fine him 4months salary and the same goes for every other Rangers player from now on SG you need to make a stand and be ruthless, I am not a fan of Fotheringham but I would promote young McCrory from the youths SG it was you who said if they good enough they will play give the young one a chance.

  • He should be dropped for the rest of the season and fined heavily we lost a lot of points because of stupidity and hot headed players we do not need that in our team

  • Should be heafully fined and dropped and sat on the bench and they should sign Clark from the Perth club
