As quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times, former Rangers player Lee McCulloch has suggested that the title race is not over just yet.

The Gers have been in decent form for much of this season but inconsistency has crept in and that has left us short of Celtic’s points haul.

For sure, we’re nearer than we have been but this season it’s now looking tough to reel them in, though McCulloch says we cannot give up yet.

He said:

“It won’t be easy for Rangers, but they can still mount a challenge this season.

“There are still plenty of points up for grabs and still two Old Firm games to be played but it is clear that Rangers have it all to do.

“But you won’t see anyone at Rangers chucking the towel in. You can’t do that when you are at Rangers and they need to regroup for one last charge.”

There are plenty of games to go, of course, and once the split happens we’ll still have to play the big sides – as will they – but it is probably just going to be too much.

For as long as it is possible, though, we have to believe because they’ve shown this season they can be beaten – we just have to hope the others in the league can prove that to be true again before May.
