To Sevilla, they’re on their way…

Rangers kit partner Castore has announced an agreement with Sevilla FC in what has been described as a ‘multi-season’ agreement.

This update heralds the challenger brand’s entry into La Liga following on from exisiting contracts with Rangers, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Wolves in the Premier League as well as the upcoming launch with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

In terms of their football portfolio, the fledgling Liverpool-born company is achieving what it had set out to do with an expanding stable of clubs.

This launch is very significant given the pulling power of Spanish football and the reach it will give the company in terms of their brand exposure. Founder TOm Beahon stated:

“We’re incredibly proud to announce Castore’s latest partnership with Sevilla FC and to be expanding our presence in European football.”

Most recently Sevilla have been wearing Nike kit but that is all set to change starting immediately from the new season and their President José Castro Carmona was qouted as saying:

“Partnering with Castore is an important step for our club, because we are linking up with a company that shares our values.”

“It is an ambitious brand that in just a few years, starting from scratch, has managed to break the status quo in the world of sports brands in the same way that we have done in Spanish and European football.”

Trail blazers

No longer is it a case of who is that brand on Rangers kit.

Castore’s arrival into the English, German and Spanish league provides a visibility and a respectability for the growing brand but from a Rangers point of view, it is all about the product and the service received.

Several offerings and ranges will continue to be released to be marketed to the supporters so it is imperative that quality is kept to as high a standard as possible, the rest we can live with.
