With the news that Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller had won their SPFL appeal over the suspensions and fines that Rangers imposed on them following an alleged bust-up with former head coach Graeme Murty, a number of fans fail to see how he can now continue in his position as head coach of our Under 20 side.
Following the decision the Daily Record reported that the club could now face a bill in excess of £100,000 for legal costs and the like.
Given the claims and counterclaims made, at least so far, despite the decision going in their favour, what actually happened is still pretty much unknown and a mystery.
With Wallace coming back into the frame recently before being omitted from the Europa League squad, and with Murty himself leaving the club before returning to his former position – it’s just so muddy I’m not sure a ‘truth’ can be found at this stage and assumptions suit nobody.
Re the Miller Wallace appeal. If it’s them vs murty then it’s hearsay and the whole thing falls down. If it’s witness’ then this result tells you the team backed the team and not the manager…which doesn’t surprise me.
Murty should be held accountable for his actions.

If i was a youth player im not sure how i could learn to respect murty as a coach or manager after this given that he lost the dressing room and had to be relieved of his duties before the end of the season. Just doesnt send a message that he is a coach to respect anymore

why Questions over murty at youth level ? It was a technicality they were not guilty on .

Looks like fault on both sides but would take Wallace over Murty every day of the week.
Murty was cowardly/out his depth as manager and appears Wallace told him some home truths, probably going over the top with the way and wording but still accurate.

Graeme Murty should be nowhere near our club regardless of the decision

Kenny Miller has been moved on.
Graeme Murty should be moved on.Lee Wallace, a great and loyal servant to the club but with this mess and the signing of Barisic and Flanagan, I doubt he'll get much playing time this season, and he'll eventually move on to.
Time to move forward

What actions? We don’t know what happened. That’s the issue

Tbh I don't think Murty has much to do with it. Think the club latched onto an incident to try and get rid of two players who were disruptive.

Truthfully don't really care about the outcome of Wallace and Miller's appeal. Has no influence on the team moving forward.

Some fans have clearly made their minds up though and whether that changes in time as more information does become available or not remains to be seen. Clearly, some fans just want to move on from it so it is no longer a distraction as Steven Gerrard continues his work.
