Rangers will be looking to get themselves some top signings this summer so we can get after number 55 in earnest next year.
This campaign just gone has shown that we can compete with them across the city but it’s finding that extra bit of consistency that is going to make us champions once more.
We need to make the right signings in the window, then, and with that, we’re going to get plenty of pundits offering their thoughts on the business we do.
Indeed, according to Chris Sutton, though the interest in George Edmundson is good, he cannot see the thinking behind the Greg Stewart story.
Speaking to BT Sport, he said of Stewart:
“It is interesting the way Rangers are going about their business in terms of not always bringing in young, hungry players because they have brought Greg Stewart. I do think that’s a bit of a strange one.”
Certainly, Stewart is slightly different to many of the links but we have shown older players can provide a boost too.
Stewart knows the league and will provide an extra bit of cover, so let’s see if he can prove Sutton wrong.
