It’s being reported that Brighton winger Jamie Murphy is now undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Rangers. Cardiff City’s Declan John is also said to have signed a permanent deal.

The report comes from the BBC and they say that the 28 year old is now having a medical ahead of a move from Premier League Brighton to Rangers.

They don’t state whether or not that move would be on a permanent basis or a loan basis.

Having played his part in helping the to promotion from the English Championship last season, he has found playing time limited this year making only six appearances, with a return of one goal.

Should he sign he would be the second capture of the January window following Sean Goss’ arrival from Queens Park Rangers.

The BBC also state that Declan John’s loan deal has now been made permanent since the window opened.

No doubt we’ll have some confirmation soon.

Update:

It’s being suggested a fee of around a million has been agreed for Murphy, so the boyhood Rangers fan would be a permanent capture.
