When Rangers allows Sky Sports to publish a video of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s interview commemorating his first year in charge as manager, many thought that signalled the board’s intention to keep him as manager.

There have though been unconfirmed reports that he has been relieved of his duties with the Four Lads Had a Dream fan media outlet reporting the speculation this morning:

Stevie Clifford and the Four Lads blog might only be fan media, however, alongside Heart and Hand, they are better connected than any mainstream media outlet and are fully aware of what is going on behind the scenes, they are also well-known for not commenting on speculation and only release this sort of claim once a rumour has been verified.

The Rangers squad is currently on holiday with a few of the players undertaking their own training due to returning from injury or because they might have been short of match fitness so, if there is a new manager coming in, they will still have the whole of the break and time on the training ground to implement their ideas before we kick off again after the World Cup.

As Clifford says, the Rangers Review might be an interesting one this morning. If Gio has been sacked, the first question has to be, why has it taken them so long?
