Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd is looking to save his career with a return to his first club Kilmarnock. The SPL’s all time leading scorer needs to get his career back on track or he faces being on the scrap heap at aged 29.

He has signed a three month short term deal with old club Kilmarnock and hopes to impress at Rugby Park so that he can prove he still has what it takes at the top level. Moves to Middlesbrough from Rangers, a loan spell at Nottingham Forest and a spell with Portland Timbers in the MLS have not worked out for him.

Boyd has said he still has four or five years left in him and hopes to prove that at Killie. Who knows, if things work out he may even win a move back home to Rangers when the transfer embargo finishes?
