Rangers supporters are encouraged by the potential of midfielder Lassana Coulibaly after he produced an excellent midfield display against Croatian side NK Osijek last night.
The Light Blues drew 1-1 at home in UEFA Europa League qualifying, a result that was enough to see them through to the next round after winning 1-0 in the first leg away from home.
The performance hinged on a high energy midfield display from Ryan Jack and Lassana Coulibaly, with the duo pressing the opposition incredibly well throughout.
Coulibaly was making just his second appearance for the club and has certainly made a case to feature regularly in Steven Gerrard’s starting eleven so far.
His tireless running and work ethic stood out to supporters as a highlight of the evening.
A loan signing from French side Angers, he looks like the kind of midfield upgrade that the Gers badly needed this summer.
With Scott Arfield, Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans to choose from in the middle of the park, Gerrard has plenty of quality options as we head into the Scottish Premiership season.

Everybody is going about Jack in the middle park tonight and not mentioning Coulibaly. Jack was outstanding yes but Coulibaly's engine and workrate was outstanding tonight, he was everywhere winning balls back and chasing everything. Looks a player so he does
