25-year-old Croatian international Borna Barisic had already shown Rangers fans what he was capable of when we faced FK Osijek in the early rounds of the Europa League.
Impressing many with both his defensive efforts and attacking prowess, plenty were delighted when manager Steven Gerrard made the move for him and secured his services for a reported £3million as that will surely be a snip of a fee. The deal could even be as low as £2.7million and if true, that £300,000 makes it even more of a spectacular deal. Some even say as low as £2million full stop.
Following victory over St Mirren and his Premiership debut on Sunday as we took a 2-0 victory despite being down to ten men, Barisic certainly impressed fans with his efforts and he even helped himself to an early assist on the day as his freekick was met by Connor Goldson for our second goal on the day.
Rangers fans are hopeful it was very much a case of more to come in the future.

Absolutely love that about Barisic.. Thrown in there in front of a sold out Ibrox to make your debut.. Chases after Morelos to celebrate the opener then whips in a free kick to set up Goldson. What a way to get the fans on side early on ????????⚽️
