Nothing comes close to being there and unfortunately, there will be many Rangers supporters disappointed not to have secured a ticket for the upcoming League Cup Final against Celtic.

The upcoming decider for the first silverware of the season in Scotland will take place on Sunday 26th February, providing the opportunity for Michael Beale to secure a trophy at the first time of asking.

With all general admission tickets now sold out, Rangers have confirmed that the showpiece game will be screened live at the new Edmiston House facility, which has alread hosted two matchday ‘fan zone’ events with music gigs and more already in the pipeline. The announcement from Rangers means that some fans will be able to make plans to get together for the game in what will hopefully be a day to remember.

Earlier this week, the club stated:

“The club’s allocation of tickets for the Old Firm Viaplay cup final has all been sold. We regret and acknowledge this means that not every supporter had an opportunity to purchase a ticket. Given the incredible level of support our club enjoys, the ticket allocation for a fixture of this nature can never come close to satisfying the demand.”

“We are pleased to announce the Old Firm Viaplay Cup final will be screened in New Edmiston House on Sunday 26 February. More details about this screening will soon be available. Thank you for your loyal support.”

Anticipation

It will not be long before this game is upon us, but prior to it, the team faces this weekend’s Scottish Cup game v Partick Thistle then it is down to league business away to Livingston. At that point, a long build up to the Old Firm shoot-out will unfold in what is an eagerly awaited encounter.

Both sides are currently in a strong run of form and will rightly be confident of doing the business when it matters at the end of the month.
