Midfielder Ovie Ejaria has had quite the start at Rangers since arriving on loan from Liverpool earlier this summer.
Initially entering the first-team with a couple of ropey performances, he’s improved in almost every game since and his form culminated in a screamer of a goal on Thursday night that ensured the Gers progressed to the group stages of the UEFA Europa League.
It’s the kind of contribution that will always make him a cult hero at the club.
His all-round performance against FC Ufa was exceptional, demonstrating exactly why Steven Gerrard brought him to the club.
With skill on the ball complimenting physical strength and a cool-as-you-like demeanour, he looks a player that can go very far in his career.
For now, everyone is delighted he is playing in Rangers colours and supporters have taken to Twitter this week to pay tribute to the 20-year-old…
Let’s not get carried away but a few things I noticed today…
1. Ejaria is better than Zidane ever was
2. Mcgregor is a ninja
3. Steven Gerrard is more powerful than god #LetsGo ????????????????????????

Katic, Goldson and McGregor will take the plaudits but Jack and Ejaria were excellent as well.

Ejaria was absolutely brilliant. Always has his head up looking to see whats happening around him, strong on the ball, can win a challenge, good technique, has an eye for goal also very composed beginning to love the way he plays

Ejaria is exempt from criticism for the rest of his Rangers career. Or at least until Sunday. Brilliant performance from the youngster. Come on Rangers, hang in there… all 9 of you.
