Not only is Mick Beale making his Rangers return today but it is also important to note that the first team squad returns to their Auchenhowie base to get back to business.
After two weeks of permitted leave for the players, most have returned to the training centre today ahead of a back to the future situation with plenty of work just round the corner to get ready for the restart. Whilst the countdown is on until 1th December and the visit of Hibs to Ibrox, befoe then warm-up games will be played against Swansea (behind closed doors) and Bayer Leverkusen, also at Ibrox on 10th December.
Seeing Beale make strides at training, getting his points across to the first team squad would have been seen by many as a sign of the past Gerrard era but now here we are, on the brink of a new regime under the Londoner with all the intrigue that this venture holds.
Alfredo Morelos, John Lundstram, Scott Wright and Steven Davis were amongst the players pictured on their way back to work today, as captured by Sky Sports, below.
