Michael Beale insisted Rangers were dominant at Fir Park as he witnessed his team secure all three points against Motherwell.

It was definitely a shaky start with a sloppy opener conceded but Rangers rallied to get back into it.

The first half saw more poor play from Rangers, with key individuals not performing like they can or should be. Thankfully that changed after the break with Fashion Sakala’s header turning things around and provided the point from which the visitors did go and and stamp their authority on the contest.

Beale reflected that in his comments, as told to Sky Sports post-match:

“Well, in the first couple of minutes it was a slow start. The first ball they played in behind is ever so tight on the VAR but obviously that’s what it’s there for. It got the decision right on the day and then we have to come back from one nil down.”

“I thought we controlled most of the game, just the quality on our crossing in the first half was off and as you see at the start of the second-half it was something we spoke about and it was a fantastic cross from Tav for Fashion to score at the far post. Obviously Tav as well with the free kick which was an excellent free kick to get up and down. So, overall I was really pleased.”

“We were in control the whole game. At half time I spoke about speeding up and our quality in the final third.”

There were definite good and bad points from today’s game for the Rangers manager, as we now head into the international break.

It’s another win, another three points and the 100% record goes on in terms of away wins for Beale. The frustration remains in that Rangers have been unable to make any progress in terms of the gap with Celtic but that has been outwith the remit of control for all at Ibrox.

The Old Firm encounter at Parkhead in a few weeks time can change the situation with an interesting knock-on effect for the remainder of the league campaign as well as the Scottish Cup semi-final.

There is still plenty at stake.
