Rangers fans were left fuming with the contribution of defender James Tavernier on Saturday, feeling he is showing nowhere near the kind of leadership necessary to have the club challenging for major honours.
The Gers have dropped yet more points in the Scottish Premiership and are at risk of falling 10 points behind Celtic at the top of the table.
The 1-1 draw at home to Kilmarnock means Steven Gerrard’s side have now not won a match for four games, a situation clearly not good enough and one which is piling the pressure on the manager and his team.
Supporters do not have faith in Tavernier whatsoever despite his attacking contributions this season and feel needs to show more responsibility on the pitch.
With goalkeeper Allan McGregor basically filling in for him today, some have questioned what kind of future the Englishman has at the club.
Is it time for Rangers to look at selling him in the summer?

Some players in the @RangersFC team aren’t winners. I’d go as far as saying we won’t win any silverware with Tavernier as captain. Big decisions have to be made if we are to challenge next season. He’s contributed more than some, but he isn’t a winner.

Tavernier isn't fit to be in the team let alone the Captain. He's rank. Has always been rank. Gerrard witters on about leadership, his first task should be to strip Tav of the armband. It's been evident that's been needed for months.

Unpopular opinion but I've always said it @James_Tavernier is never @RangersFC captain material, wants to be everybody's pal and the joker.
