Rangers AGM was an eventful one with chairman Dave King stepping down and announcing that Alfredo Morelos would not be sold at any price in the January transfer window, he also updated fans on the progress at Ibrox Stadium and future plans for the home of the Light Blues as reported in The Scottish Sun.

King also spoke about the money that had to be spent on Ibrox due to the previous board’s years of neglect:

“They weren’t doing any maintenance, even the health and safety stuff was being ignored. The level of degradation throughout the club was astonishing”.

“A lot of the money initially had to go into the stadium and into health and safety”.

“We had to make improvements to Ibrox, otherwise they would have shut it down”.

Ibrox is well on it’s way to being restored to it’s former glory and with a waiting list of just under 14,000 for season tickets, calls have been made to increase the stadium capacity with King confirming a feasibility study has been commissioned.
