One of the big Rangers transfer rumours of the week has been reports suggesting that Adam Lallana could make the switch to Glasgow on a loan basis.

The Scottish Sun reported that the Gers were favourites to sign him in January while former captain Barry Ferguson went on the record stating it would be a fantastic signing and not to rule it out.

The capture of Jermain Defoe at the start of the month has now made rumours like these difficult to dismiss immediately, even if the likelihood is we have no chance of signing the Liverpool man.

The attacking midfielder has played just 200 minutes of Premier League football this season, making the prospect of an Anfield exit not completely ridiculous.

However, his wages and quality surely mean he is ruled out of an Ibrox move.

It didn’t stop supporters talking about it plenty on social media.

Many were excited about the possibility…

While others were simply not convinced it could ever happen…
