Andy Little’s loan spell with Port Vale has ended due to injury. The Northern Ireland player is heading back to Glasgow after suffering knee ligament damage.

The utility man picked up the knee ligament damage in the weekend’s 4-0 defeat to Morecambe. He will return to Murray Park for his recovery period which could be months.

Little was picking up valuable first team experience with the English side after spending a lot of his career so far on the sidelines due to injury. It is a major blow for the player who made his Rangers debut in April 2009.
