Rangers are in discussions with Greg Stewart about making a move to Ibrox this summer, as reported by The Daily Record.
The paper say he is set to sign a contract to join up with Steven Gerrard’s squad for pre-season training, with his current deal at Birmingham City expiring at the end of the current campaign.
The attacker is currently on loan at Aberdeen, where he’s having a frustrating time under Derek McInnes.
Still, his first half of the season at Kilmarnock demonstrated a player who is creative, exciting to watch and has an eye for goal.
He scored eight goals and assisted five times in a few short months at the Ayrshire outfit, standing out as one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership.
Now some supporters feel he can replicate that at Ibrox and prove to be the creative outlet we’re crying out for that can link midfield and attack in the final third.
These fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the potential move…
Most of the opposition to the Greg Stewart signing it is predicated on the fact he is not used well by McInnes and that he plays in Scotland. He's the best player in the league outwith the Old Firm and makes things happens against packed defences. An upgrade on Candeias.

If nothing else he is a very fun player to watch when he’s in good form.

Greg Stewart might not be the best player. But if he signs for rangers. And it pisses Aberdeen and Kilmarnock fans off. I'll be 1 delighted guy.

People doing their nut about signing Greg Stewart. I'll admit it's not exactly exciting but sometimes it's the wee signings that end up being belters.
