It was only a matter of time.

The red-hot form of Alfredo Morelos has people sitting up and taking notice, especially in his native Colombia.

‘The Buffalo’ is enjoying a very productive spell just now, coming fresh from his crucial winner in the 0-1 win over Livingston which puts Rangers in touching distance of the SPFL Premiership title.

That followed his electric performance in the Europa League double header with Royal Antwerp when Morelos scored or assisted in all but one of the nine goals that Rangers scored.

Since the turn of the year, the Colombian international has been a focal point for the Gers title charge including his winning goals away to Aberdeen and Hibs.

As his manager Steven Gerrard alluded to in his post-match interview following the Antwerp home game, Morelos appears to give that wee bit extra in Europe and it does not go unnoticed.

He was put on full display this morning on the Colombian pay-TV channel, Win Sports – as can be seen below.

The 24-year old, who is contracted to Rangers until Summer 2023, shared the content on his Twitter account.

Titled with the caption – ‘We know the numbers of Alfredo Morelos of Rangers in Scotland and Europe, a true predator of the goal!’

The clip showcases the appearances, goals and assists of Morelos, now in his fourth season at Ibrox, whilst the two main presenters discuss from the sofa.

If the Rangers striker shoots his team into the Europa League quarter-finals then it is only going to increase the attention and noise around him, leading to further inspection from interested clubs.

That is not a bad thing for Rangers who could have a decision to make in the Summer if a £20 million offer is received, leading to the possibility of the popular player bowing out of Ibrox on a high as mooted by club legend Brian Laudrup.
