It’s been a remarkable twelve months in Scottish football, and in particular, for Rangers fans.

To find us now in a position of strength looking to fine tune our squad whilst Celtic face discontent from their key players being priced out of moves is quite the turn around.

Steven Gerrard will face a new foe in the opposite dug-out in the shape of Aussie Ange Postecoglou but, until they offload a few bodies, their squad will pretty much remain the same.

One man who could make an impact this season is Albian Ajeti.

I’ll be honest, last season when they signed him I thought they had pulled off a masterstroke, yes, his record at West Ham United was poor, but prior to that, at Basle, he was pretty prolific. A partnership of him and Odsonne Edouard should have worked but, well, it didn’t, much to our delight.

Which new signing are you most excited to see next season?

The Switzerland international did start well enough in terms of scoring goals but he never seemed to be fully fit, but after two goals in their first two pre-season games, he looks a lot sharper than he ever did at any point since moving to Glasgow.

We, as Rangers fans, can rightly enjoy ourselves just now but we need to be careful not to over do it, they still have a core of decent players and if Postecoglu sets his team up properly they should certainly be more than capable of overcoming the rest of the Scottish Premiership with ease, whether or not that will be enough to close the gap on the champions remains to be seen.
