It’s all going to plan for Rangers in Croatia so far this evening, taking a one goal lead into half-time thanks to Alfredo Morelos’ clever header from a James Tavernier cross.
In a move clearly worked on at Auchenhowie, a short corner found it’s way to the right-back, who curled in a beautiful ball for the Colombian to steer past goalkeeper Marko Malenica.
It’s the crucial away goal that Rangers were looking for to bring back to Ibrox next week. With Connor Goldson and company keeping things tight at the back, it’s been a perfect 45 minutes.
Morelos is drawing plenty of plaudits from supporters, which is a turnaround from last week when he was singled out as particular poor against Macedonian minnows FK Shkupi.
These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the player after his massive goal…
Morelos needed that, happy to see him back on the scoresheet #RangersFC
