Rangers flew out of the traps at Ibrox this afternoon and would go on to hammer a poor Hibernian side on what was a soaking wet match in Glasgow.
The Gers stormed into a 2-0 lead early on in this one, but could not get a third to kill things off in the first half.
Indeed, we went into the break at 2-1 after Hibs got one back and that might well have caused a few to be concerned that we weren’t going to see out the victory.
We, however, turned on the afterburners in the second half and scored another four with Jermain Defoe bagging a hat-trick, Alfredo Morelos getting two and Sheyi Ojo earning one himself.
Certainly, it was an impressive performance that will put out a statement to our rivals across the city, and I think we are in for quite the title race this year.
