Rangers supporters were left fuming with the performance of Steven Gerrard’s team on Wednesday night, watching their heroes sink to a 2-1 defeat at Rugby Park.
It was supposed to be a night of optimism after the manager handed Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe their first competitive starts since signing during the January transfer window.
However a horror mistake from Joe Worral gifted Killie an equaliser before pre-contract signing Jordan Jones slammed in the winner for the home side.
It was a night to forget and no player really covered themselves in glory.
Steven Davis did not look match fit throughout his time on the pitch and was eventually substituted in the second half, with many fans left scratching their heads about the quality of his performance.
He struggled to get to grips with things in the midfield, with some supporters feeling like he was simply shoehorned into the team at the expense of others.
These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance…

Bringing a centre back off isn't going to do anything 😂 Davis has been woeful. Not fully fit yet obviously

Rangers only showed urgency in last few minutes Defoe and Davis were not in the game. Better when Lafferty came on but to late

Rangers were rotten the diamond in the midfield never worked we had no width what so ever!!!! Because we are paying big bucks for Davis and Defoe doesn’t give them the divine right to walk into a team that beat Celtic in our last game 🇬🇧🇬🇧
