Rangers supporters are growing weary of midfield Scott Arfield after his particularly ineffective performance against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup last night.
The Canadian international was hauled off midway through the second half having failed to create anything or get to grips with the physical battle in the middle of the park.
Aberdeen went on to win the match 2-0 and knock Rangers out, ending our best chance of silverware this season and leaving fans with serious questions about the future of the squad under Steven Gerrard.
Many feel the manager is not getting the best out of Arfield playing him in a more advanced position and others reckon the midfielder may simply not be good enough for life at Ibrox.
It’s clear that he is not playing well right now and changes are needed if we are to start winning matches and close the points gap in the Scottish Premiership.
These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his Tuesday night display…
Borna has disappointed me so much this season, positional sense is murder at times and his crosses aren’t as good as I thought.
Also Arfield isn’t good enough, he just falls short, a nearly man who has 1 good game in 3

Thinking Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield are good enough to play week in week out has killed the season. Midfield needs ripped apart.
Same mistakes over and over again since September.

Surely we have a youth player to replace Arfield?

Arfield was absolutely anonymous.
