With plenty of positives coming from Rangers’ midweek Scottish League Cup victory over Ayr United, there is definitely a reason to highlight this one.
A 4-0 victory putting us into the semi-finals of the competition for 2018/19 keeps hopes alive of manager Steven Gerrard lifting his first piece of silverware at the club and obviously, goals from Nikola Katic, Alfredo Morelos and a Glenn Middleton brace gave us the comfortable win.
Competitive debut and a good win! A night to remember????????????✅ https://t.co/lNQbmzxudW

With the likes of Graham Dorrans, Jordan Rossiter and Eros Grezda getting a run out in the match as they continue building themselves back from injury, the 69th minute of the second half also saw 18-year-old Stephen Kelly replace Ross McCrorie in midfield as he made his senior debut for the club.
Excellent wee man

As the above comments on social media demonstrate, the youngster did his future prospects no harm at all and for those who hadn’t maybe been aware of him previously, he showed flashes of why he’s so highly-rated in our Academy set-up.
Having penned a new contract at the club recently, his maiden bow would’ve been a great way to top that off and having had a taste he just needs to knuckle down, continue working hard and I’m sure he’ll see another opportunity come his way sooner rather than later.
