Rangers youngster Andy Dallas is attracting attention in the reserves side this season and fans are calling for a first-team call up.

The Gers U19s side picked up an impressive 5-0 win away to Hamburg in friendly action on Tuesday, with striker Dallas scoring three of the goals.

He has now scored nine goals in the last six matches for the club’s reserve and youth sides, clearly intent on impressing Steven Gerrard and pushing for a place in the first-team squad.

The teenager got his first taste of senior action last term on loan at Stenhousemuir but has yet to feature at all for the Gers.

With Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty unavailable for this month’s clash against Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup semi-final, is it time to bring Dallas into the fold and give him a chance?

  • All young players should be GRADUALLY built into the first team….this means THEY SHOULD NOT start against the toughest teams….Aberdeen are a hard team to play against, if young players struggle then it can affect what should be a bright future, very negatively……our mature players need to help the young guys .
