It’s been a busy week for our football club so far and that is only going to continue with some big games on the horizon.

We’ve got Villarreal tomorrow night, of course, and that is the headline act as we welcome the Spanish side to Ibrox with a view to trying to get a huge three points in the group stage.

Away from the pitch, though, things have also been busy with Steven Gerrard attending his first Annual General Meeting as Rangers boss.

It’s a time where the powers that be lay out their vision for the coming future and there was certainly some very positive lines coming out of it.

Indeed, this from Dave King was possibly the most upbeat:

Unfortunately, though, we have been in such a position before and so we need to be careful when making such claims.

I firmly believe that the mistakes of the past have been learned from, though, so this promise will hopefully be delivered on.
