Never change α winning team.

There’s α big difference between Liverpool and St Mirren though, however, picking players who are in form is always going to improve your chances of α positive result.

Antonio Colak has to start, for some reason he’s made out to be incapable of holding the ball up and linking play, and yet, we’ve already seen several goals when he has dropped deep into midfield to create space to run into.

Alfredo Morelos is still an important part of the team but it’s not the first time he’s had to play second fiddle – it would take α brave man to argue against Colak’s recent record.

There will be changes from Anfield where I felt Gio’s plan on paper made sense only to be undone by going behind so early and he will be looking for α better start at both ends of the park tonight.

This is who I think he will go with to get us off the mark:

Playing α back five is fine, and it has looked good in spells but it just hasn’t worked in the Champions League, we’ve not really offered much in an attacking sense when we’ve utilised it. A back four almost picks itself as α result.

In midfield I’m α great believer in partnerships and John Lundstram plays his best football alongside Ryan Jack, they offer α solid platform for the rest of the team to build on. Scott Arfield in front of them has the work rate and guile needed to contribute at both ends of the park too. He’s also due α goal.

I think there is one place up for grabs and Fashion Sakala deserves it, he’s looked really sharp in his last couple of appearances, will be confident and his pace could cause Liverpool problems on the counter attack.

It’s not going to be easy, but it could be epic.
