9 goals, 8 assists – Gerrard must enquire about exciting 18-yr-old during Kent mission to Anfield

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard should enquire about the availability of Rafa Camacho on his upcoming visit to Liverpool.

The Scottish Sun reported on Sunday that the Ibrox boss is set to make a personal trip to Anfield in an attempt to convince the Reds that Ryan Kent’s immediate future is best served by another loan spell in Glasgow next season.

However, it’s also a good opportunity for the Gers manager to sound out the club about loan moves for other promising players at the English Premier League outfit.

One teenager who stands out is attacking midfielder Rafa Camacho, who is making exciting progress on the fringes of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

The Portuguese youth international is thought to have excellent potential and has made two senior appearances this season in Liverpool’s talented first-team, first making his debut in the FA Cup against Wolves in January before a Premier League bow against Crystal Palace 12 days later.

He’s shown superb form for the Reds’ youth teams this season too, scoring five goals and assisting five times in 12 league appearances for the U23s side, also scoring four and assisting three in six UEFA Youth League encounters.

He could be the creative option Gerrard is looking for in his midfield and the player getting regular first-team football is surely appealing for both Liverpool and the 18-year-old.
