There is a lot on the line tonight at Ibrox with the Europa League final in touching distance and in a boost to supporters, UEFA are distributing 8000 free tickets for the Seville showpiece.

For the supporters of the two finalists between Rangers, RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt and West Ham, a nice benefit is in store with 4000 tickets each to be received by the respective clubs, this was confirmed in a recent statement issued by the governing body:

“UEFA Europa League: 8,000 free tickets (4,000 tickets per club).”

“Each of the finalist clubs will be able to use these tickets to reward their most loyal supporters (i.e. longest-serving season ticket-holders, those who attended most away games, etc.), but these tickets cannot be given to sponsors, partners or club officials.”

Allocation

In addition to this giveway, another 6000 tickets will be given to the clubs taking part in the final for distribution and sale.

From a Rangers perspective, hopefully this is something relevant come late tonight if the team get a result over the line in what will be a formidable challenge on the pitch for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team.

Many of the rest of the tickets for Seville were available via the ‘lottery’, a random draw on UEFA’s website with the outcome having been communicated to applicants this week. Those fortunate enough to have been allocated briefs for the big game have until tomorrow (Friday) to pay for them, with a rollover of some tickets likely as some fans of the losing semi-final teams will let them lapse overnight.

If the magic happens tonight , the ticket scramble will truly commence. Yes please.
