Rangers Glen Kamara is very likely to return to the starting line-up tomorrow night for the Gers clash against Royal Antwerp in Belgium.

The Finland international arguably saves his best for the Europa League and the fans have been warned to enjoy watching him as it won’t last forever.

He will be fresh for action having been spared in last weekend’s 1-0 win over Kilmarnock at Ibrox.

Former Celtic and West Ham player Frank McAvennie has stated that some big offers are likely to follow, given the quality and consistency of performance level provided by the 25-year old.

An array of clubs across Europe have been linked with interest in the former Arsenal youth, including Everton, Benfica and Marseille.

McAvennie was asked by Football Insider if the Ibrox club could face a fight to hold on to some of their best players in the next transfer window and Kamara in particular.

“I think they might,” he responded.

“No disrespect to Celtic and Rangers but if you go to the Premier League you’re made for life.”

“You’re set for life money-wise. You’re secure and if he goes down there and signs a four-year deal then he’s set. ”

“Unfortunately, as Steven Gerrard has found out, if you start winning games then teams start looking at your players.”

Everyone has their price

“That’s a good thing. It means that they’re doing the right things and I’m sure Stevie will see it that way as well.”

“I don’t think he’ll stand in the boy’s way if he’s got a big offer and everyone’s for sale. But he’ll not let him go if it’s not right for Rangers.”

“He’ll not be going anywhere unless there’s a good offer on the table that satisfies Kamara and satisfies Rangers.”

It is not inconceivable for Rangers to expect to fetch £10million for Kamara, especially if his star continues to rise in the Europa League and at this Summer’s Euro Championship with Finland.

That scenario could see a return of 200 times on the initial outlay to Dundee for his services, back in January 2019.
